SOBRE ESTE BLOG
El Blog Chileno de Derecho Comparado fue creado en 2020 como uno de los proyectos fundacionales de la Red Chilena de Derecho Comparado. En línea con el objetivo principal de dicha organización, este blog busca proveer de un foro a quienes están interesados en el desarrollo, promoción y difusión del Derecho Comparado en Chile y el resto de América Latina.
El blog esta esta concebido como una interfaz entre el discurso académico, por un lado, y los operadores jurídicos por el otro, incluyendo legisladores, jueces, abogados de ejercicio y estudiantes de derecho. En consecuencia, este blog tiene un espíritu inclusivo y está abierto a recibir todo tipo de contribuciones en el ámbito del Derecho Comparado, sin importar si éstas dicen o no relación con Chile.
La Red Chilena de Derecho Comparado tiene un acuerdo de colaboración con la revista Latin American Studies, en virtud del cual esta última publica hasta tres contribuciones provenientes del blog en una sección especial de la revista, no sometida a revisión de pares. Las contribuciones para dicha sección son seleccionadas de común acuerdo entre los editores de la revista y del blog y consideran únicamente contribuciones enviadas español e inglés.
El Blog Chileno de Derecho Comparado es un espacio de controversia y debate. Las opiniones publicadas en él no son necesariamente compartidas por los editores del blog ni por los miembros de la Red Chilena de Derecho Comparado.
ABOUT THIS BLOG
The Chilean Comparative Law Blog was created in 2020 as one of the foundational projects of the Chilean Network of Comparative Law. In line with the main goal of such organization, this blog aims to provide a forum for those interested in developing, promoting and spreading Comparative Law in Chile and Latin America
The blog sees itself as an interface between the academic discourse, on one hand, and legal operators on the other, including legislators, judges, practicing lawyers and law students. As a result, the blog has an inclusive spirit, welcoming any contribution, broadly relating to Comparative Law, regardless of its connection to Chile.
The Chilean Network of Comparative Law has a collaboration agreement with the Latin American Studies journal to publish up to three post of the blog in a special section of the journal, not subject to peer review. Contributions to this section will be decided jointly by the editors of the journal and the blog and will only consider contributions submitted both in Spanish and in English.
The Chilean Comparative Law Blog is a space for controversy and debate. Opinions published on this website are not necessarily shared by the blog’s editors nor the members of the Chilean Network of Comparative Law.

Stylistic requirements

Posts might be written in Spanish, English or (ideally) both, but only the latter will be considered for publication in the Latin American Studies journal.

Posts should be written in a clear and concise manner, ensuring that they are accessible to readers without special background in the relevant field.

Whenever possible, references should be hyperlinked and included conversationally, for example, 'see work by Ernst Rabel’ rather than ‘see Rabel (1950)’.

Do not use footnotes. Instead, use links, as above.
Images
Please supply the blog with an image to use for your post. Images must be either the author's own, or obtained from Creative Commons licenced sources. Please supply all attribution details (i.e., author's own, or which kind of CC licence) to the editor along with submission of your document.
